I just failed inspection in NJ for "visible smoke". After reading thru some of these threads I am hoping this is a dirty flame trap causing this.

I have also heard you can run this car without the flametrap? Is this true?

Any other thoughts on smoke my volvo freinds.

1995 850 GLT 225,000 miles bought new serious list of stuff I had to fix, but I still love her and just moved close to work to keep the mileage down.
