V70; my first lemon V70-XC70 1999

My complaints are with things like self-destructing ABS controllers, high failure rate AND hard to change A/C evaporators and the ETM fiasco. Other factors are things like the Volvo "fill for life" recommenation on transmission fluid and the crazy recommendation to change the conventional motor oil every 10,000 miles in non-turbo cars. I wonder how many plugged PCV systems are in part caused by that excessive oil change interval recommendation.

In any case, our 850 is gone and has been replace by a Honda Accord. So far at 60,000 miles the Honda hasn't cost us anything beyond normal maintenance/wear items. We shall see how the next 100,000 miles goes.

John
