creaking sounds/shock bearing plate? V70-XC70 1999

Hello again,
I have been experiencing creaking sounds in what I think is the front end of my 99' xc. Recently, I had the strut plate and the spring plate (same as shock bearing plate?) replaced on the left side. The sound returned a couple days later, worse now. It could be the other side I suppose, it would make sense that they would fail around the same time. We have a particularly angular driveway that requires a very tight turn to get into really cranking on the stearing at a very slow speed. Before I have the other side repaired, does anyone have any ideas what else may be causing this? Or could this be a CV joint ready to go belly up?
