Help! Check engine/overdrive flashing no acceleration 850 1995

Wow!! The rear lights did not go on! Also, it now allows for acceleration power after having moved the shifter up and down 10-12 times with the engine off. You guys are amazing, thanks.....now I have to look up exactly what this PNP switch is and how $ it is! Thanks again.
