V70 heater core replacement?

have a v70 cross country,the heater core is leaking,putting the smell of anti-freeze into the car.have to change it soon.anybody done it before and what should i watch for,and how big of a job is it?.i am a bodyman by trade,and do i need the O ring kits i hear a lot about,my nearest dealer is 5 hours away,but have a freind who will be there on monday to get parts if i should need them. thanks
