Door catch (called middle hinge) failed on drivers door. 850 1995

remove the inside door panel.

Keep in mind the door stop catch works on both the drivers and passenger door. You will see when you position it one way.. it will say "left" and flip it around it will say "right".

You need to remove the holding bolt which is usually a torx screw/bolt which disconnects it from the door of the car. If the weld is broken there then a new catch wont help!

When you remove the door panel you can unbolt the two bolts holding it and bring it through the door panel (there is a little white (about 2" by 2") plastic seal piece to pull the old unit out. (it may help to have your windows straight up on the door.)

Reverse the procedure to install the new one.
