CD stuck in player S70 1998

Happened to me with a Who Live at Leeds CD. As advised by Volvo, I disconnected the battery for twenty minutes to reset the computer. When reconnected it operated fine and has ever since. Mine is a 1999 though, I am not sure if thid would help on a 1998 as there are computer differences.
