MAF Sensor bad??? 850 1994

I have had the same problem with my 94 850. It had a very erratic idle. Read article in Popular Mechanics about a cleaner that is put out by CRC to clean MAF sensors in order to correct these problems. I was not able to find the cleaner so I did a little reach on the web and found that Radio Shack had a spray cleaner for electronics. I picked that up and used it, I have forgotten the name but it was a white spray can with a brush attachment on the nozzle. I did not use the brush on MAF filament, as it would damage it. I took the MAF out of the air intake and spray it down with cleaner several times, let it dry and put it back in, worked like a charm. The MAF filament on mine was very dirty and hence causing it to send an erratic signal. Hope this helps
