A/C blower fan gone crazy !! S60

Help !! I pulled my car into the garage, turned it off and went into the house. About an hour later I went out into the garage and heard a strange sound coming from my S60. Got into the car and low and behold the A/C fan is blowing full blast. Car off, no keys in ignition. A/C light off but fan is blowing full blast. I had my wife come out to look at it so she didn't think I was crazy. I then put the key in the car started it and then turned the car off. The A/C fan then turned off.

Any ideas what is going on ? I'd sure hate to run a new battery down if this thing decides to come on in the middle of the night ?
