Lil Oil Leak, Check engine??? non OEM O2 sensor? S40-V40

Hi-

I have a 2000 v40. There seems to be a small oil leak on the driver side in the vicinity of the turbo. The turbo itself doesn't seem to be leaking. I can't trace the leak. I also keep getting a check engine light (mix to lean) indicating a problem with the front oxygen sensor. I replaced the sensor myself about a year ago with a volvo o2 sensor (cost ~$150). I'm wondering if its possible that the check engine code and the oil leak are connected? I don't want to replace the O2 sensor unless I'm sure its the problem- because I hate spending that much money on a guess...

Any thoughts on possible culprits? Is a non OEM "universal fit" oxygen sensor a mistake (cost around $70)?

Thanks.
-SS
