What caused the struts spring seat to crack? 850

I have 95 850T with 210k miles. I replaced Belstine struts about 4years ago. I had replaced struts spring seat twice in last twos years only on passanger's side. No problems with driver's side. What is causing it to crack, always at the center where the strut shaft goes?
