I hope you left it all apart. Sounds like the rehostat for the fan died. I assume that you moved the slide switch for the fan speed and nothing happened. If you have electronic climate control, the slide will not have numbers. There are 2 rehostats, one for electronic and one for manual.
By the way, did you check the fuses?
If you Have a current testor, check for voltage at the fan and the rehostat.
If you have an ECC system, check B - 1 for codes.
