S70 AWD slipping in reverse when warmed up S70 1999

S70 AWD automatic tranny - When backing up, there seems to be tranny gear slippage and some noise. I am only guessing it is the tranny, could be wrong.
When going forward in drive, everything seems smooth and normal. Drives and shifts fine. If car has sat for a number of hours and is cold, when backing up there is no noise or slippage. It is only after driving the car for a while and it has warmed up that it seems to slip and make this noise in reverse only, not in drive going forward. Has anyone experienced this situation on their S70 or other volvo?
