Frozen intercooler removal?

In yet another bout of cold weather I think my intercooler has frozen up again. I am very reluctant to drop another dime on getting this issue looked at by the dealer. This is the 3rd time in two weeks. How much of a project is it to remove the intercooler? Any special instructions? I'm thinking if I can remove it and bring it inside for a bit to thaw it out I should be OK for the time being. It is supposed to warm up a bit this weekend.
