Sparkplug cover screws 850

I'm trying a craftsman torx-30, regular handle, but it's not making any progress on these screws. I'd bet the last guy way over-torqued them.
I've used a little wd-40 to penetrate. I think using anything stronger may harm the plastic.

Any tricks (or a better torx tool) to getting these screws out without stripping their heads?

Thanks
Don M.
This is really silly when I've got a whole tuneup to do!
