Turbo maintenance 850 1996

There is no additional maintenance--the turbo is pretty bullet proof. You should use a synthetic oil (Mobil 1). Cooling the turbo before shut down is not the issue(unless you just completed high speed laps)--you just want to be sure it is at ide speed before shutting down. Otherwise, if you rev the engine before shut down (some people do this, for reasons I can't understand), then you have the turbo spinning at high speed after shut down with no oil. Not good.
