Volvo windshield wiper issue:has it been resolved?

Volvo fixed the wipers. The driver's side no longer lifts up in the air or comes loose at the bolt. But, the long sweep and the weak spring is still a problem for those of us in the New World. I wonder if the spring in the Ford is the same length?? Hmmm.
