99 XC Rear Suspension V70-XC70 1999

Has 142K+ and just replaced the rear shocks, what a shocker $$!, at dealer. Car handles better but the rear end has a lean to the drivers side. Asked the dealer what's the deal? Well says he, could be struts, could be springs, could be alignment, well it could be I don't know what. Say's he, with dollar signs in his one good eye, let's get her in the shop and see what's afoot. His head man looked and indicated that this was a new one for him. Why is it that everything short of a flat tyre is a new one to them and they can't figure out how that happened.

Please Help, I can't take my 240,(248K+), back from my daughter while I save up for the dealers ransom, she would kill me.
