Advice on potential 850 purchase 850 1997

I am interested in a 1997 850 T5 wagon that's for sale locally, because I need to replace my 240 wagon. It has 185,000 miles on it but is in good condition. There is a reasonable service history with it. Its only real issue is that the ABS light comes on from time to time, which I'm thinking is likely a wheel sensor (or worst case, the computer which presumably I can replace with a used one for $200-$300).

The guy is asking $3,500 for it but says he would sell it for $3,000. In my mind I didn't want to go any higher than $2,500. I don't really trust KBB for such high mileage cars and it comes in with a price of $4,500 which is not realistic.

So is $3,000 a fair price or is it a little on the high side?
