Interesting 850

Hi,
Interesting approach to this 850 issue; a year ago the glovebox went on my wife`s 850 so I took the hacksaw blade solution. Easy & no damage done to surrounding area. Instead of replacing the lock mechanism I put in some velcro strips which work just fine. Let`s face it, what is the purpose of the lock anyway other than to give a false sense of security. If someone can break into your car they sure won`t have any problem getting the glovebox!
Thanks for posting your solution. If the glove box lock fails on my wife`s newly purchased 03 XC I`ll try your approach as I KNOW that she won`t let me anywhere near her car with a hacksaw blade!!
Rich
