Wipers 850 1995

On my new addition '95 855. I had noticed what appeared to be the worst set of wipers in history and on inspection did not look so terrible. So, I purchased from fcp the original set..... This way I also get the wind deflector on the drivers side also....

Well going through the car wash I tested my new set and low and behold the same results. On the Drivers side about 3/4 into the swing or approx. 8-10 inches from the window edge the worst wipe ever.

This morning I stopped the blade in that position to understand if it was the blades or something on the glass..... Low and behold the blade is actually not even coming in contact with the windshield.... Under the Arm are some springs, could they be shot? or is the arm bent?
