intermittent starting problems V70-XC70 1998

Hello,

I have a 98XC with 130k --I have had sporadic problems with starting. If I go for three errands in the morning- on the fourth the car won't start-the radio and windows work no ignition just a noise( doink ) coming from the doors. The car has a battery less than a year old. I have tried the PNP switch test - moving the shifter back and forth, have tried starting it in neutral. The only thing that "works" is when I leave it overnight it starts right up. I took it to the dealer and they said that they could not replicate the "no start" so they coud not figure it out. Anybody with some ideas? I really appreciate your help.Thanks.
