Removing Lumbar Support Knob

I've been trying to remove the lumbar support knob to replace the seat cover on the back.

I followed Rich Kelley's suggestions (in the seat cable instructions@ Bay13) but the knob just won't come loose.

Is there some trick to this? Is the SVC70 seatback different from the 850?

The passenger seat knob won't come loose either, so I don't think it's the car. It's me. Has anyone done this on a SVC70?

Thanks!
