ABS Module Fixed With Victor's Help - Saved a Bundle!! V70-XC70 1999

We've only had our XC for a couple of months. Got it for a song... but we Almost immediatly, we started seeing all the dreaded warning lights: Check Engine, ABS, Brake, flashing arrow... the speedo and cruise would quit working intermittently.

Dealer diagnosed a bad ABS module - their estimate for the job... $1,000!! Thanks to my researching the problem on the Internet, I located and read about Victor Rocha. He rebuilds the modules (which cost new between $450 and $600)for about $115... $145 after all said and done (shipping, insurance, etc).

I sent him my module... removing it from my turbocharged motor took about 20 minutes or so.... hardly a difficult job! Although he is located on the other coast (CA), he fixed it in one day... I had it back inside of a week. Result... Volvo runs perfectly... no lights... no lost speedo... the world is beautiful today!! What a simple fix... and to think some people would pay $1,000! If you've got the symptoms... do a search for Victor Rocha... you'll find many messages... and his website as well. Thanks, Victor!

Steve
