Replacing Blower Motor V70-XC70

One must of course remove both the glove box and the panel below it. To remove the panel below the box you will have to remove the lower/forward piece of trim on the center console. There is a lock that must be turned on this piece next to the passenger seat. You will also have to take up some of the door sill and fold back the carpeting. You work upwards to remove the blower (have the passenger seat all the way back and lay on your side/back looking up at the "back" of the blower assembly. I brused my side for afew days from this. The four screws are not too hard to figure out, but the most forward one will have to be removed and installed using a T-25 torx on a ratchet, or a flxible shaft extension. You can not remove it with a solid shaft screw driver type torx. Pull the assebly down and out. The back of the motor has a cover that un-clips. Two more T-25's attach the motor to the assembly. Reinstall in reverse.
