Help retreiving ECC codes and clearing C70 2000

OBDII scanners only work with engine related codes, not ECC, ABS, SRS, or any other volvo specific codes. You need to stay friendly with your Volvo service reps :)

You might want to clean all of the dust and dirt out of the temp sensor builtin to the dash. That is the fake switch to the right of the steering wheel. The radio and the ECC unit must come out before you can reach behind the dash, push the 2 plastic pins at 12 and 6 o'clock and carefully pull out the temp sensor.

The fan tends to get clogged with dust and dirt.
