alternator removal on 00 s70 Turbo S70 2000

hello, I have a bad alternator and I am trying to remove it. I am having a hrad time getting it out. I first removed the serpentine belt, then unbolted the power steering pump for access to the alternator, i have all of the bolts out and can move it around, but I can't get it out, the ets box on the bottom of the intake is getting in the way when I try to tilt it back. I cant tilt it foward or up because the bracket that holds the power steering pump, alternatot and ac compressor is in the way. I am I missing something or what? Any help, would be greatly apprecciated. I have a new battery and it went dead yesterday, took it tohave it checked and the alternator is not charging. The car has 94k mles on it, does this seem premature for it to go out?

Thanks
Dennis
