Volvo for LIFE!!

My 1994 Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon gave up its life yesterday to save my daughter's life. She was hit broadside on the driver's door by a tractor-trailer doing about 40 MPH. While they had to cut my daughter from the car, and she was banged up and bruised, she had no broken bones and no internal injuries. She has a multitude of tiny glass cuts, a nasty cut on her left elbow (which was next to the door) and bruises that are yet to come, but she is alive and recovering very well. More than one of the emergency responders told me it was a good thing she was in a Volvo. Having driven Volvo's for over 30 years, I could only say "Yeah, I know." I truly believe that had she been in another vehicle, she would either have not survived, or would have been severely injuried. Volvo safety is not hype, it is real!
