ipod adapter for s60 S60 2003

Who has experience with the ipod adapters for volvo? I had my 52k service the other day and while I was there I asked about the price to have volvo put the adapter in- $440.00!!! The harmon-kardon drive+play looks good, and I have seen the USA spec. I can install myself, just curious what ya'll have encountered.
