1998 V70 T5 heater fan stop working Q to Klaus V70-XC70

HI Klaus,
I've been off line for a while - moving house.

Thanks for the advice - it really may be the cabin filter because last 2 weeks the heather fan was working. Also may be there is some relation how dry is the outside air. Now it is winter in Australia and thinking about the problem - I think in all cases when the fan was not working the weather was foggy.

Unfortunately I don't know where it is and how to check it. I did not see any filters when I took the fan off.
Could you please send me a link how to do that? Do I need to replace it or just vacuum or wash it?

The rheostat seems to be OK
