Considering '96 850 to buy 850 1996

Hey all,

I may have an opportunity to purchase a '96 850 GLT sedan from a close friend of mine whose family drives only Volvos. This particular example is a one-owner car, just turned 143k miles and is an automatic. Unusual for a GLT model, this one is fully loaded with everything, including a rear spoiler and trip computer, two items I almost never see on any GLT. It was well taken care of, but it has gone through the typical 850 problems: rear main seal (twice), ABS module/light, and flame trap. I do know it needs an a/c recharge soon. My friend's father is only asking $3000 for it, but I want to dicker it down to $2500. What do you guys think?

I want another 850 because the '96 I currently have (and occasionally discuss on this board), I plan to put into storage for an indefinite period of time. That one just turned 81k miles.
