Wife rejecting 240 and S40 for Nissan Altima... Help!

I am looking for a daily driver to supplement my aging 240. But my wife rejects the S40 in favor of a Nissan Altima. Any suggestions?

It is hard to locate clean used Volvos at a reasonable price in this area. (Southeast USA, northern Louisiana / central Mississippi / central Alabama).

I have been looking at a few "pre-owned" S40's, but we keep on running across very nice Nissan Altimas and Toyota Camrys for nearly the same price. She currently drives a 2001 Nissan Altima, so she is already leaning in that direction. There is no comparison in interior space with the S40, but all the S60s that we have seen are still a bit too $$$ for the age / mileage / condition.

How can I bring her back into the Volvo fold? Or is the Altima a "no-brainer"?
