Oil Dipstick S70 1999

Klaus, just to let you know, I called Pat Patterson in Memphis and they had three dipsticks in stock. $14.99 each. I drive up to the dealership (1.5 hour drive one way) and when I get there, they inform me that Volvo has changed the design of the dipsticks and dipstick tubes for this car. The only way the new dipstick will work is for me to purchase a new tube as well....oh, and that's an extra $55.00!!! I gave them one hell of a piece of my mind for not telling me this during our 15 minute conversation over the phone. I'm glad I'm getting rid of this car and going to Ford. The nearest Ford dealer is 15 minutes away from anywhere! Thanks for the info Klaus, I just wanted to warn others about this in case they have to purchase a new dipstick from a dealer. I guess I'll be rummaging through the junkyard Saturday.
