Towing with S60 S60 2001

My opinion is a little different. I agree with Ken - you might find pulling the boat up a ramp to be an embarassing experience, unless the ramp has a gentle grade and a proper surface. However, towing on the highway should be superb, provided the boat/trailer are properly balanced.

Tongue weight should not pose an issue. Most boat trailers have about 7 or 8% tongue weight, which is fine because the centre of gravity is lower than a travel trailer.

FYI, the tow recommendation is 3300 lbs (1500 kg) in North America, with a rating of 1600 kg (3500 lbs) in Europe. However, a 2007 V70 in the UK has a tow rating of 1800 kg (3960 lbs) with the non-turbo engine. This is the same rating as the XC70.
