rear trailing arm link / bush, comments please 850 1994

Hi all, my 94 estate has just failed its MOT test with the 2 outer rear bushes being very worn. Near side is totaly shot and explains the bangs from the back i've been getting over the pot holes. However the off side does have some play in it, particulary where it slots into the trailing arm. My concern is i only replaced this 9 monthes / 15k miles ago. The replacement was from Partsforvolvos.com and i'm wondering if this patttern part is up to the job, if its just bad luck, or something i did wrong (but for the life of me i cant see what).
If the originals lasted 12 years+ i would expect more than months from this one. Has anyone else had problems with these aftermarket bushes?
