New 850 owner - Timing Belt 850

Timing belt AND tensioner time. The hydraulic tensioner requires compression before installation and takes a good 30 minutes to compress - very slowly. Check out Bay13 for pics:

It is harder to get to than a 740, but at least you get to lay down on your back while pondering how to get the tensioner off :)

A Saturday morning is all it takes, but your cofee will get cold.

BTW, I would buy the belt from the local dealer and the tensioner from FCP. The Continental belt is OK, but I just like OEM parts.

Please answer, we need to know if the advice is good or bad. The 164 has a new home, all I am left with are 2 turbos :)
