which oil viscosity to use....... 850 1996

I have noticed that the initial start-up of the day for my parents 850 it seems like for a second the oil pump is having difficulty getting the oil to the top of the engine. I should state that I am in warm, if not outright hot California, and the oil my parents are using is 20/50 Valvoline. I should also mention that it is a non-turbo. I was thinking of going to a lower viscosity, in an effort to see if that solved the problem, and was wondering what people thought. My two options, as I see it, are 15/40 or 10/40. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Vielen dank :)
