Front Axle replacements 850 1997

While doing the brakes on my daughter's 850 sedan I noticed some play in both sides of the inner axle connection. Clicking can be heard while coasting slowly in a parking lot, so I'm sure they are in need of replacement. Will I need special tools to do this job? I have a pretty good selection of tools as I do most of my own repair work. Just trying to have everything ready so I can do the job as quickly and easily as possible. Front wheel drive is a new animal to me.
