Given that most of the posts in this forum are problems/complaints, I thought I'd take the time to write a positive note.
I just bought a used 2004 V70 2.5T AWD Black Sapphire Edition from Volvo Villa in Toronto (Yonge and Steeles).
They were somewhat flexible on price, and didn't give me any of the usual car salesman jazz (Abe was the salesman. Very professional). We worked a deal that satisfied all parties without the "Wait here while I have to check with my manager" routine. I requested the car quickly and they stepped up the priority to safety the car to make the deadline.
There was a problem that they didn't catch during the safety inspection (two bad rear wheel bearings) that I immediately noticed on the highway after taking possession of the car. I was bracing myself for the typical post-sales runaround now that the honeymoon was over.
I called them up, and with no hassle at all they scheduled a service appointment for the next day. At the servicing they confirmed the problem and fixed both bearings while I waited. No charge. They even washed and vacuumed the car for me before returning it without being asked.
Great service, very professional. I'll definitely be back when the time comes for an upgrade. In the mean time, i'm in love with my new V70!
