License plate light C70

One of my license plate lights is out because the bulb (it appears) has come out of the socket (it rattles when the trunk is closed). I removed the two torx screws but the lense is embedded in rubber and doesnt want to come out. When I gently pull on the rubber the entire light assemble acts like it wants to come out but doesnt. It seems as if I will break it if I try any harder. The license plate light on my V70 has one torx screw which easily allows the lense to swing open. The C70 has a different light assembly. Anybody know how to get to the bulb? Is there a screw behind the assembly? Am I just not pulling hard enough? Do I need to free the the lense from the rubber seal?
