S70 safe mode

I ran my battery completely down. I jump started it and it started fine. It drives fine for the most part, except it is stuck in this "safe mode", where the car starts off in second gear. The Check Engine light was on, so I went down to my local Advance Auto Parts where they lent me the OBD II scanner. I pulled the codes, but didn't print them out because I thought I should just erase them to reset the car. How do I get the thing out of safe mode now?
Thanks
