Spilled coffee in center console =srs light 850

Spilled a good amount of coffee in the center console now the srs light is on..
quite probable that it is the crash sensor..from my searches
but my question is..is the sensor likely to have taken in some of the liquid and gotten damaged or just the connector?..
obviously quite the price difference in here between the two.
