WOW!

Can you tell what caused it to fail (crack, flaw in metal)? I'd be nervous too -nervous even about whether the paint on these things has lead in it...

The one I got from Napa was also "Made in China", but appeared to be of much better quality than the one from FCP.

Since it's on the drivers side you may be able to get some of the broken bits out through the drain plug as it's on that side also.
