850 Rear Engine Seal Replacement - Method 850

I have to replace the rear engine seal on my 95 850 NA with an auto trans. What are the opinions on the methods to replace:

- Pull just the engine up and out.
- Drop the trans down and out, including partial removal of the saddle.
- Pull both the engine and trans up and out.
- drop both the engine and trans with the saddle down and then remove the trans.

I replaced the clutch on my 93 850 a few years ago using method #2 and I am hoping for a bit easier time the go-round.

Opinions.

Tim
