v70 fuel pump leaking V70-XC70

I removed the panel and I could smell fuel, but saw no evidence of leakage.

How difficult would this be to replace myself? I found the pump online for $317. I have a Chilton's manual for my old 850 and the pump and placement seem to be the same. Does the process of relieving the fuel pressure require special equipment, or could I use a tube and a gas can?

Also, can I wait until after Thanksgiving, or is this something that needs to be done ASAP?
