We own (2) 2001 V70-2.4T GLT's and at about 100k miles the ABS light kept coming on. I asked our local Volvo repair center (no dealer in the area) about the cause and they diagnosed "Possibly the ABS Module". The suggest we try replacing the module at a cost of about $800.
That raised my suspicions and I began serching the internet for options. The result of the search was Victor Rocha at http://home.earthlink.net/~vicrocha/?gclid=CMCVxoCTgI4CFSZuYAodY0T0Qw. We ordered the 1st module after our local shop pulled it and reinstalled it for a "measly $162". The installed the new unit and it has worked flawlessly since installation.
I ordered the 2nd module from Victor a few weeks later after I followed his instructions for removal. About a week later I received the repaired unit and installed it myself - I'm 60+ years old and NOT a mechanic. The repair was less than $200/car we now have (2) V-70's that are performing better than they did new.
Thanks Victor!
