Idle issues 850 1994

Hi everyone,
I'm encountering a problem with my 850 and an open to any thoughts on what may ne causing this. My car was laid up for several months after a fuel pump failure. Now that winter is approaching I put my other car away and have been working on the 850. I replaced the fuel pump. Due to difficulty gettin the old one out I had todrop the tank in order to replace the pump. The engine fires but only stays running while I rev the engine. As soon as I lift the throttle it stalls. The car ran fine before the fuel pump failed. Are there any thoughts on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
