what type of coolant is the dark green one? 850 1993

the coolant in my radiator is a dark green, almost black, colour. it's the original stuff the car came with (about 12 months ago). i just wanted to know if this is original volvo coolant? or is this stuff aged and contaminated?

the secret decoder ring at http://www.geocities.com/dtmcbride/home_garden/auto/antifreeze.html doesn't mention volvo and dark green. can i just flush and replace with yellow prestone extra life without harm?

any thoughts/opinions appreciated.
