crud on dipstick 850 1995

One way to clean the crud out of the dipstick tube is to make a long thin strip of rag (really long - twice the length of the dipstick) fold it over the end of the dip stick and clean the tube out.

Even if you take long trips, short trips soon cause condensation because the tube is in front of the engine.

I have seen frost on the dipstick on occasion.

After a thorough cleaning and a long trip, The stick looked good, and I no longer worry about it!
