Rear Spring Orientation Red Mark 850

Could that red mark be an indicator of sport Vs regular springs? There is only one way the spring can be oriented and still fit into the bottom clamp.

The rear springs must not be compressed with a spring compression tool! The tool is not made to hold that much tension. The lower shock nut is removed and the suspension lowered to remove all tension from the spring for removal.

Depending on the rusty nuts and bolts, a fairly easy DIY job.
